What I Did On My Summer Vacation (Lather, Rinse, Repeat)

This summer, I did lots of things.  I sunscreened and suited up two kids for the pool approximately 40 times.  I then showered said kids to remove sunscreen and pool water approximately forty times. I also washed chlorine out of bathing suits and beach towels approximately forty times.  Then we went to Niagara Falls, and stayed at a hotel with a pool, and I was fortunate enough to repeat steps one and two several more times, just in another state/country.  After returning home from the  Niagara vacation, I then sunscreened and suited up two kids several more times, with the ensuing cleanup duties. Then I threw my back out.  Then I went to Margot’s birthday party. Then we went to the beach, where I was fortunate enough to be able to sunscreen and suit up two kids several more times, with the lovely sound of the surf pounding in the background.  I did get a little change of pace though.  When we would leave the beach for the day, the kids would go swimming in the hotel pool.  Once they were done, I had to shower the kids to remove sunscreen and sand.

 I just have one thing to say:

SCHOOL STARTED LAST WEEK!!! HIP HIP HOORAY!!! We will now return to our regular blogging schedule.What did everybody else do this summer?
